Carlos

Carlos joined The Rehabilitation Specialists’ Canberra team in 2023 all the way from Spain. He completed his degree in Occupational Therapy at La Salle University in Madrid and then went on to complete a Masters in Evidence Based Occupational Therapy, Hand Therapy, also at La Salle University. Carlos has been working in the disability sector since 2021 and has experience in Child Neurorehabilitation, Intellectual Disabilities, Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and spinal cord injuries as well as a range of other complex disabilities. Before joining The Rehabilitation Specialists Carlos primarily worked with adults with a diagnosis of Schizophrenia working on how to manage their disability, improving their daily living skills and developing their independence.

Carlos is passionate about expanding his knowledge and skillset and he loves getting to meet clients of all ages and working with them to assist in improving their skills and quality of life. His primary areas of interest are neurological conditions, such as stroke, dementia, brain injuries, and traumatic brain injuries, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD, ADHD and intellectual disabilities.
